READING THE MARSEILLE TAROT PIPS – SKILLS FROM EARLIER CENTURIES with CAITLíN MATTHEWS

Saturday October 23, 2021  11AM Pacific Daylight Time

Since the Waite-Smith deck of 1909, we have become accustomed to reading the minors by their illustrations. However, up until the time of Etteilla, with exclusion of the Sola Busca Tarot, tarots consisted of 22 Trumps, 40 Pip and 16 Court cards: these were the norm from the early 1400s until the 1780s and beyond.  In this session, Caitlín explores two methods of restoring the skill of reading from the Pips to our repertoire.  Please have ready a deck with non-illustrated minors with you, such as a Marseilles style tarot so that you can join in: we will start with our decks already mixed together. A pdf to help you practice will be available. The class will be approximately 90 minutes with a Q&A opportunity.
