Deadlines: We accept proposals until September 15th. Everyone will receive a response to their proposal by October 1st.
Speak at the Northwest Tarot Symposium! Workshops are held Friday afternoon/evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. We are currently accepting presentation proposals. There are three tracks for the symposium and we are looking for topics that fit into each of these:
Novice Track – Learner / Beginner Topics – this track includes all of the beginning topics, special interest, deck/system specific, general divination, etc.
Adept Track – Intermediate / Advanced Topics – and this one’s for the those that want the next level and all “beyond basics” topics, etc.
Master Track – Professional, Tarot / Oracle Deck Creators and Author Topics – all topics related to creating decks, writing books, the creative process, reading professionally, how-to, business resources, etc.
We have two types of classes offered: Lectures (PowerPoint presentations) and Workshops (hands-on activity based classes).
PowerPoint Lecture Presentations: These classes are focused on lecture topics and the rooms will be equipped with a screen and projector. A classroom style layout is used with tables and chairs. We highly recommend including activities in the lecture style presentations, but that may not be the primary focus.
Hands-on Activity Workshops: This room is setup for group activities and will NOT include a screen and projector. This type of class is focused on hands-on activities such as exchanging tarot readings, learning card layouts, creative projects, games, and other forms of interactive learning.
All submissions are juried in to ensure a wide variety in topics. Presentation lengths are 80 minutes, please keep this in mind when submitting your workshop for consideration. We also strongly encourage hand-out materials to accompany your class.
Compensation: Presenters will receive free entry to the conference, Saturday and Sunday lunches, and the Saturday Dinner Buffet.
Please use this form to submit your presentation proposal for the Northwest Tarot Symposium.
